Workshop - a Moveable Feast
by Tony Gee
This is a book and video package that is an elucidation of the principles
of Workshop. It is told in a narrative style and, by following the course
of A Moveable Feast Workshop, it explains the three phases of Workshop:
Devising, Delivery and Reflection. Moveable Feasts are big residential
workshop events for artists and provide art practitioners, who are often
isolated, the opportunity to gather together and investigate and experiment
with their workshop practice. The book and video tell this story and explain
how Workshop is a distinctive creative form with its own poetic, politic
and aesthetic.
It is a useful guide for emerging practitioners, community artists and
students on courses that emphasise the social relevance of art or engage
with participatory practice.
This book and video package now costs £14.99 and is available from
Lyn Brown at CCEP, Dartington College of Arts, Totnes, Devon TQ9 6EJ,
UK. Tel : 01803 861623. Email: l.brown@dartington.ac.uk
